About Us

MeatTrack.com came into existence in 2004 through the efforts of the participating associations and retailers as a tool for streamlining the Meat Variable Measure U.P.C. and URMIS standardization process. More than 4,000 different names have been given to retail cuts of beef, pork, veal, lamb, turkey and chicken. Standardizing these cuts has made it easier for retailers to manage inventory, provide labeling, and implement scanning for variable measure meat items.

MeatTrack.com has taken this process to the next level by utilizing technology to help retail managers succeed in today's competitive environment. What once was a process that involved extensive paperwork, accurate record keeping, and lengthy processing time, is now an automated real-time system that can process your U.P.C. request within minutes. Updated regularly, MeatTrack.com can generate a unique number through an easy-to-use request form, with a quick 24-hour turn around on new items. Today, many retailers are reaping the benefits of MeatTrack.com.

Governed by Uniform Retail Meat Identity Standards (URMIS) and Universal Product Code (U.P.C.), MeatTrack.com has set out to accomplish these goals:
